Cantrell: “She has worked hard on her skills, both in and out of season and she continues to improve on a daily basis. She’s a humble leader and wants what is best for the team. I’m excited to watch her continue to grow as a player and as an individual.”

According to AVCA invitation sent from Alex Fitzmorris-Som, the group’s Events and Research Specialist: “Uncommitted athletes named to the 2021 Phenom Watch List will be eligible to participate in the AVCA Phenom College Preparatory Program … an invitation-only event held in Columbus, Ohio, December 16-18.”

Jones: “This is an exciting opportunity. I am grateful for this recognition and I’m looking forward to continuing to improve.”

The Junior Panther stands 6-foot-1 and is a Middle Blocker.

According to the release: “Athletes who participate in the program will attend education session regarding recruiting and life as a student-athlete, receive NCAA SemiFinal and National Championship Match tickets,” will have the opportunity be around and workout with AVCA Collegiate All-Americans and undergo Volleyball Performance Index testing and participate in the AVCA Talent Showcase.

That’s when the volleyballers selected to participate can showcase their skills if front of more than 150 college coaches. The release – and this is the biggest selling point of the camp – goes on to point out that 80 percent of the volleyballers that participate in the program advance to play collegiate volleyball.
