Evangel Lightning brings home third state title

Evangel Christian School, located in Alabaster and part of the Alabama Christian Sports Conference, finished their record-breaking season this past Saturday, taking home their third state title in 3 years. 

Lightning softball recorded the best season by an Evangel team with a 27-5 record and were undefeated in conference play with an 8-0 record. They are the only Evangel team to win 3 State titles in a row with multiple wins over #1 ranked teams in AISA.

“We were very prepared for our conference run due to playing a very strong out of conference schedule. I’d like to thank all the AISA coaches for allowing us in their tournaments. Those teams and coaching staffs are great at this sport and definitely made us better,” said Coach David Littleton.
